The company has developed the ActiveMesh® technology: A novel and proprietary method of packaging dry-powder drugs within a mesh-based package.  The breath-driven beating of this package causes it to sieve and release fine dry-powder particles with diameters in the respirable range.  The integration of this technology provides an active dispersion mechanism to a passive inhaler.    

Aespira is now developing a disposable and hygienic whistle-shaped inhaler device – the resQhaler™ - which uses the airflow though the device due to the inhalation action of the patient to efficiently beat the ActiveMesh® package.  This approach ensures effective breath-synchronized drug delivery with audible confirmation.
