The London DPI conference is one of two major annual industry events in the DPI industry. This year aespironics was invited to present a lecture on its technology. The presentation was very well received.

aespironics completes initial device testing using powders and drugs

The company has successfully completed testing the fine particle fraction (FPF) and emitted dose achieved when using aespironics' test rig to emulate the inhalation process. A number of powders i ncluding drugs were tested, and in all cases the results proved that the company's technology enables very-high performance single-dose inhalers to be implemented.

The company has completed its test rig set up, enabling it to test the company's "active mesh" operating principle on a range of device designs and a range of different powders. The test rig includes an artificial lung capable of accurately reproducing any inspiration profile, and a Malvern particle analyzer.

Maayan Ventures, the seed fund arm of the major Israeli VC fund Infinity placed the seed investment round in aespironics. The funds were matched by the Israeli Ministry of Science and Industry.
